Review: Ringo Pro for Android
By
AndroidNerds:
As a Blackberry convert, I have been searching high and low (for those who know me, chuckle now.) for a way to set my different ringtones and such for individuals or apps. I have found what i have been looking for in Ringo.
This is a VERY nice addition to the Android OS. I Give it two thumbs up!

A review of Ringo for Android
From
PalmAddicts:
Ringo really lets you go to town on your mobile and customise it to exactly how you want it to notify you, something that Android slightly lacks - you can enable popups when you get SMS's, change the rate of the LED blinking and even turn on 'Escalating Ring', which gradually increases the volume of the ringtone, something that I miss from back in the day when I had a little Nokia 3310.

A review of Ringo for Android
From
PalmAddicts:
The first thing that I noticed with Ringo compared to other apps like it was the speed and performance. Other applications I've used take a good few minutes to load the large selection of ringtones I have on my mobile - Ringo didn't. Another thing that really stood out was how easy the interface is! The buttons are large and readable, making it easy to navigate. It's really all self explanatory - you're able to quickly silence your mobile, put it into the 'vibration' mode or put it on loud, which I found really neat.
Another thing I found pretty awesome was the idea of changing the way your phone notifies dependent on the contact who's calling/sms'ing you.
Ringo is a breath of fresh air in terms of customising your SmartPhone - It's so easy to use, honestly anybody could get the hang of it within seconds! Labels: Android, Electric Pocket, Ringo
Ringo Pro Android App Review
From
Android-Apps.com:
Key feature of Ringo Pro is of course the functionality to assign ringtones to your contacts individually. You can use any MP3 as a ringtone as well as set individual tones for each of your contact and groups. The app has a good number of preloaded ringtones. And you can also use music files that you have on your Android phone’s music library. The app will fire up any file manager that you have installed on your phone to help you select music tracks on your phone.
For notifications, Ringo Pro will power up your SMS notifications by letting you set different tone for each contact’s messages and control LED color, pop-up notification and more.
And just recently, Ringo Pro was updated to include a nice notification feature. Aside from assigning personalize ringtones for each person in your contacts, the app also alerts you of incoming messages or calls by speaking the callers or texters. If you’re on the go, either driving or doing something else, this is a very nice feature.

How I Will Know When Megan Fox Calls Me – App Review: Ringo Pro
From
Absolutely Android:
Well, first I would need her direct dial number, but I am working that. When that time comes, I will be ready with Ringo Pro. There are many applications that can set up a specific ringtone for certain people: even the stock phone and contacts apps on my G1 would do that 18 months ago. This application goes a little bit further though. In addition to being able to assign a ringtone to certain contacts, Ringo Pro will also assign specific ringtones AND specific led colors AND specific vibrates to those contacts as well.

Review: Ringo Pro for Android
From
GearDiary:
I have to be honest and admit that I’ve never really been one to play around with custom ringtones for individual contacts. I just look at the screen to see who is calling and decide at that point whether or not to answer. So when Electric Pocket recently asked Gear Diary if we would like to take a look at Ringo Pro for Android, I’ll have to admit that I was a little slow to raise my hand. Now that I’ve had a little time to play around with it, I’m finding it a little fun.

Electric Pocket apps reviewed
From
PalmAddicts:
"With Ringo, you’re only limited by your imagination when assigning personalized ringtones to your groups, friends, family and co-workers."
"What I love about Bug Me is its accessibility and flexibility. I can call up the Bug Me app from within any software that I’m using or from the home screen. I don’t have to hunt around for it in order to launch it. This has been key on many occasions where I’ve had to quickly take down a phone number or address on the fly while in conversation with someone. Its convenience and accessibility alone is worth the price of owning this incredible app. However, the flexibility of being able to assign alarms to serve as reminders adds more power to its purpose."
"At first I was confused using this app because there isn’t a manual that comes with the software (at the time I was reviewing the app). I thought it was just like the millions of Twitter clients apps you see come out every two days. However, I jumped in with both feet and when I found out what separates this application from the other Twitter-related apps, I was frankly, amazed!"

Review of Ringo Pro for Android
From
AndroidandMe:
The Android based T-Mobile G1 with Google allows you to set a unique ring tone for each person in your contact list. It doesn’t, however, allow you to set a unique SMS, or text message, tone for each person. This could be handy if you are busy, and need to know whether the SMS you just received is an answer to a critical question, or simply another bit of SMS spam.
If you have ever been expecting an important call or message and fumbled through your purse or pockets to find your G1, only to discover a telemarketer, the
Ringo Pro could be for you.

Ringo Adds the Right Tunes to Your Tones
From
PalmAddicts:
Looking for a bit of fun without the heavy hit to the wallet? Then Ringo from electricpocket.com is for you. Ringo is a small, easy to use program that uses any MP3 file as a ring tone or an SMS alert. Better yet, Ringo allows the owner to use custom ring tones or SMS alerts for any person in the contacts list OR even a whole category of people. Getting calls from swabbies from the local naval base? Make a category that plays Popeye the Sailor Man. Your university-aged kids are calling, again. You know why. So make their ring tone the intro to Abba’s Money Money. Mother-in-law? Theme from Friday the 13th. (For those with a great in-law like mine, try Handel’s Hallelujah chorus). Personally, I was able to switch from a less exciting MIDI file of Phantom of the Opera as the default tone to the real deal from the movie - a full orchestra cut from the opening scenes. Those with good MIDI files still can use them via Ringo so no loss here.

Ringo review
From
PalmAddicts:
I added
Ringo to my Palm Treo 755p and have been using it for the last few weeks --- it’s an absolute joy to use. Ringo is really easy to set up, and doesn’t require any maintenance after that… of course you may find it fun to change your ring tones.
The first thing I did with Ringo is set up different ringtones to let me know by the ring if it's my husband or kids calling. Then I set up my kids so their photos show when they call.

Ringo for BlackBerry review
From
Palm Addicts:
I love it when I can tell if a call is really important or one I can just dump to voicemail. It's the hallmark of modern communications. If I'm busy with a customer, if I know it's my wife, I can dump to VM easily.
I'm suprised that my new Blackberry Bold doesn't do it automatically. Every BlackBerry has options to change tones for in and out of the holster, but not any way to assign separate ringtones for contacts. Then I remembered that Ringo on my Epix has a cousin for Blackberry OS.
I grabbed a copy for BB last night and got it installed. I changed the BB profile to OFF, then activated Ringo. After getting the custom tones for my wife, boss, and co-workers set up, whenever any one of them call, I get different tones, so I know when to dump the call now. Now my Blackberry Bold is a real communications device, by telling me when and WHEN NOT to communicate.

WindowsMobileCool review of Ringo
I was really hoping for greatness with this program and got everything I expected and more.
Ringo lets you easily add the awesome raw power of MP3, WMA or WAV format ringtones to every call tone on your device. You can use your favourite music or sound clip as a ringtone - just copy it to your WinMo phone and select it from
Ringo’s easy-to-use interface. In addition,
Ringo provides an easy way to set and change ringtones and SMS tones for your friends - just pick from a list of the contacts in your address book is listed. Each friend you set up can have a unique MP3, WMA, Wav or Midi ring and SMS tone.
