Splashopper, which is available for iPhone, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, Palm OS (Treo/Centro), Windows and Mac (I would hate to be an app developer these days, wouldn’t you?–all those platforms!), is a shopping manager. It helps you manage different types of shopping lists, from groceries to gift shopping. If you get the handheld ($4.99) and desktop ($9.95) versions, you can sync between the desktop and handheld lists, which sounds pretty slick, honestly.

Ringo Adds the Right Tunes to Your Tones

Looking for a bit of fun without the heavy hit to the wallet? Then Ringo from electricpocket.com is for you. Ringo is a small, easy to use program that uses any MP3 file as a ring tone or an SMS alert. Better yet, Ringo allows the owner to use custom ring tones or SMS alerts for any person in the contacts list OR even a whole category of people. Getting calls from swabbies from the local naval base? Make a category that plays Popeye the Sailor Man. Your university-aged kids are calling, again. You know why. So make their ring tone the intro to Abba’s Money Money. Mother-in-law? Theme from Friday the 13th. (For those with a great in-law like mine, try Handel’s Hallelujah chorus). Personally, I was able to switch from a less exciting MIDI file of Phantom of the Opera as the default tone to the real deal from the movie - a full orchestra cut from the opening scenes. Those with good MIDI files still can use them via Ringo so no loss here.

For many of us, a shopping list is something scribbled on a notepad or Post-it that’s crammed into a pocket and pulled out when visiting a store. Upon returning home, and sometimes the minute you’ve walked out of the store, that list gets crumpled and tossed away. Yeah, the idea of "reduce, reuse and recycle" doesn't come into play with this approach.
Along came Apple's App store, and with it a reminder that there are all kinds of ways you can accomplish things quickly and efficiently from your smartphone. Those of us carrying a Centro or Treo may suffer from iPhone envy due to the sheer volume of affordable apps that are available for that platform. Rather than waste energy on wistful ponderments, we ought to focus on some of the many apps that have been developed for the Palm OS platform over the years (remember... Palm came first!).
So with that in mind, and after having such an awesome experience with SplashData's SplashPhoto app, I thought I'd give
SplashShopper (SRP $29.95) a try.
It is described as an app that "offers a powerful and easy way to manage everything from grocery shopping to holiday gift lists to keeping track of DVD rentals." First introduced seven years ago, in February 2002, this app lets you manage multiple shopping lists on a Palm OS handheld and desktop computer.

Conclusion – SplashPhoto IS a Game Changer
My review merely scratches the surface of all the things you can do with SplashPhoto. For example, a whole separate review could have been done just on the interactivity between Picasa, Flickr and Facebook.
Looking back, I have a hard time coming up with something not to like about SplashPhoto. Seriously, this application well exceeded my expectations. It took the hassle out of using my Centro's built-in camera. In fact, I'm smiling because I now have a really efficient way to get my photos into circulation (and get my Centro screen grabs over to my Mac).
Plus, I am quite impressed with how intuitive it is to use. It really seems like the folks at SplashData anticipated my needs. In fact, this is clearly a situation where the company's experience shines through. First introduced in 2000, SplashPhoto has evolved over the years into a terrific program that is a game changer and a keeper, as far as I'm concerned.
I look forward to continuing to learn more about the wonderful things I can do with this app. At first, the price ($29.95) kind of took me back. But thinking about everything
SplashPhoto lets me do, I'd say that it is money well spent.

Flipside for Blackberry Review
As an iPod owner I don't use my phone as a main device. RIM's media application is ever so slightly basic compared to Palm's offerings of Real Player or pTunes. Back on my Treo my MP3 player of choice is Busker from Electric Pocket. Why? Well I covered that in a review a while ago, but mainly because I love cover art (The main reason I own an iPod Touch is coverflow!). Now Flipside got me very excited, it's not a port of Busker; it's a brand new player from Electric Pocket.

SplashID review
In my digital life, SplashId is one of my essential applications. When I did the change from win to mac, one of the first things I checked was if there was a mac version of SplashId. That just shows how dependant I am on the program,and it is all about just working. As a mac/palm user that is my main priority! So, download the trial and try it. I have no problem recommending it, and will give it a 5 out of 5 rating. I would also like to recommend other SplashID products, like Splash Photo and Splash Shopper. These are other essentials that i have on my Treo, and that i wouldn't be without.
