Ringo Gets New Tones
Electric Pocket has just added a bunch of new free ringtones to its Ringo ringtone manager for smartphones. The new ringtones were custom composed exclusively for Ringo and won’t be found anywhere else. The ringtones are a mix of Classical, Country, Funky, Rock, Salsa and Ragtime.
Versions of Ringo are available for users of BlackBerry, Windows Mobile and Palm OS/Access smartphones. Ringo gives smartphone users an attractive and easy-to-use interface for playing their own MP3 music as ringtones and message tones on their phone, as well as making personal and group call tones easy to set up and maintain.

New Ringo SMS Alert Collection
We all love freebies. Well, this is at least something free for Ringo users...
Electric Pocket has issued a new collection of fun SMS alerts available to users of its Ringo ringtone manager for Palm OS, Windows Mobile and BlackBerry devices. This free collection of "blips and bloops" make great message alert sounds and increases the choices available from the "default" options that come with phones.
The purpose of Ringo is to make it really easy to change your ringtones on your smartphone:
1. Easily turn your favorite music and sound clips into ringtones & alerts.
2. Jazz up your phonebook by setting tones and pictures for friends & contacts.
3. Group business and personal contacts, then silence one group with a tap.

Impressions: Flipside music player on Windows Mobile
Blackberry users have been enjoying the Flipside music player for a good little while now, but it’s time for the WM junkies to get in on the action! The great thing is they’ve adapted the interface for smartphone and touch-screen users, so both camps can get their flip on.

The FindMe Location Sharing Service
The FindMe system only shares as much location data as you feel comfortable revealing on Facebook. Here’s how it works: Pop in your favorite bar, coffee shop, or other hang-out into the FindMe system on your smartphone and then post the location on your Facebook account. FindMe uses the information gathered from nearby cell phone towers to figure out if you are in or near one of your tagged locations. If you are, the FindMe app on your Facebook account displays your current location.

Flipside for Blackberry Review
As an iPod owner I don't use my phone as a main device. RIM's media application is ever so slightly basic compared to Palm's offerings of Real Player or pTunes. Back on my Treo my MP3 player of choice is Busker from Electric Pocket. Why? Well I covered that in a review a while ago, but mainly because I love cover art (The main reason I own an iPod Touch is coverflow!). Now Flipside got me very excited, it's not a port of Busker; it's a brand new player from Electric Pocket.

BBGeeks: SplashID for BlackBerry review
Overall, I would suggest picking up a copy of SplashID if you have a large number of passwords that you need to keep track of. Use it for both your personal and professional purposes and never be left scratching your head again thinking “I could have sworn I set that password to “Flibbertigibbet” (yes that is a real word, look it up).
