Near perfect score for GoodReader

From iPhoneTunes.net:

While GoodReader can be used as a Swiss army knife for viewing tons of file types, it’s primary strength is in the PDF rendering that’s proprietary to the app. If you’ve ever tried to read a large (more than 10-20M) PDF, you know that the iPhone’s rendering engine just isn’t up to the task.

MailTones review

From PalmAddicts:

MailTones lets you set custom tones for e-mail, based on rules set by you, like sender address, sender domain, subject matching, and more. After getting this app setup, I don't panic near as much when I get a buzz on my phone, because now I can see what mail I have, and I can hear what's going on!

Hands on with Splash Money for BlackBerry

From PocketBerry:

Overall, it is a program I would recommend if you prefer to keep your own checkbook and be organized. It is better than keeping a booklet checkbook because by already being in your BlackBerry, you will automatically have it with you anywhere you go. There is no, “Oh, I forgot my checkbook, I’ll write it down later” and then forgetting. This is simple and convenient, doing half the work for you. And by being electronic and not wasting trees, it helps you do your little bit to help the environment too. Going green while organizing your green, how convenient.

Manage Your Holiday Madness With SplashShopper Application

From GearDiary:

Splashopper, which is available for iPhone, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, Palm OS (Treo/Centro), Windows and Mac (I would hate to be an app developer these days, wouldn’t you?–all those platforms!), is a shopping manager. It helps you manage different types of shopping lists, from groceries to gift shopping. If you get the handheld ($4.99) and desktop ($9.95) versions, you can sync between the desktop and handheld lists, which sounds pretty slick, honestly.

Christmas iPhone tones? There's an app for that...

From Mobile Entertainment:

UK developer Electric Pocket has released a Christmas-themed version of its MailTones app for iPhone.

The new version - FestiveTones - lets users select different tones to play when emailed by specific contacts.

The festive theme means those include the likes of Jingle Bells, We Wish You A Merry Christmas and Good King Wenceslas.

Quick Review: FestiveTones for iPhone

From GearDiary:

Personally I really like both MailTones and FestiveTones. If you carry your iPhone in your pocket or purse it’s quite nice being alerting and knowing who’s e-mailing you without ever having take out your phone.

Festive Tones-Holiday Email Sounds

From Cool iPhone Apps:

Holiday music surrounds me as I walk into any store, or turn on the radio or TV at home. Frankly, I love it! Maybe you even changed your Ring Tone to a holiday sound to get in the spirit. Well, Festive Tones-Holiday Email Sounds now has an app that lets you attach holiday sounds or song snippets to your incoming e-mail. This means you can tell if Aunt Esther, Cousin Bob or your lover is sending you e-mail, a Christmas card or even a risqué picture! What I like about Festive Tones is that I don't have to grab the phone every minute to check who has written me. I just simply listen for the chosen specialized tone.

Electric Pocket apps reviewed

From PalmAddicts:

"With Ringo, you’re only limited by your imagination when assigning personalized ringtones to your groups, friends, family and co-workers."

"What I love about Bug Me is its accessibility and flexibility. I can call up the Bug Me app from within any software that I’m using or from the home screen. I don’t have to hunt around for it in order to launch it. This has been key on many occasions where I’ve had to quickly take down a phone number or address on the fly while in conversation with someone. Its convenience and accessibility alone is worth the price of owning this incredible app. However, the flexibility of being able to assign alarms to serve as reminders adds more power to its purpose."

"At first I was confused using this app because there isn’t a manual that comes with the software (at the time I was reviewing the app). I thought it was just like the millions of Twitter clients apps you see come out every two days. However, I jumped in with both feet and when I found out what separates this application from the other Twitter-related apps, I was frankly, amazed!"

Review of SplashID for Android

From PalmAddicts:

I would highly recommend buying the SplashID from the Android Marketplace and taking advantage of the thirty-day trial of SplashID for Android OS Desktop. I’d also recommend it on the Palm platform as well. I can’t currently speak to the iPhone version from personal experience but I can say that as soon as I heard it was out for the iPhone I told my friends. The more I use SplashID the more important it becomes in my daily life. After all, I made sure it was on Android before switching from my Treo.

Appletell's review of iSing for iPhone

From Appletell:

iSing is an application that aims to bring American Idol to the mobile platform. In short, this app allows users to vote the performances of other singers from around the world up or down based on their performance in a short, 30 second audio clip recorded through their iPhone. Also, you are able to record your own performances and publish them for others to vote up or down on. If you’ve been waiting to be heard, this application is your stage.

Twitterlerts for BlackBerry review

From KnowYourMobile:

This is a well-designed, easy to use application that brings something new to the BlackBerry Twitter experience. Integrated with the core BlackBerry applications, Twitterlerts uses BlackBerry’s own alert tools to keep you notified of new, relevant messages. If you work with Twitter, this could well be an essential install.

From Cool iPhone Apps:

Organization is the key to success in most things in life. Unfortunately, we are so busy taking care of family, jobs, pets, you name it, that many important tasks get left behind or poorly done. SplashShopper is an amazing app in which you manage and organize almost every type of list imaginable.

BugMe! notes, tasks and reminders for your BlackBerry

From BlackBerryCool:

BugMe! is a quick and easy way to remind yourself of daily chores and To Do items. You can take notes, jot down ideas or set a reminder for yourself about an errand you need to run. The app will pop up an alarm when it’s time to get the job done.

When taking notes with BugMe!, you can insert URLs, email addresses and phone numbers which are all recognized by the app, allowing you to jump from the app to a call, email or website seamlessly. You can flag notes for prioritization, as well as use the search to find particular notes. The app also works from the calendar, so you can create reminders about an event, and even share it via SMS or email.
