Review: Ringtone Remix Pro for the iPhone

Ringtone Remix has some pretty unique features that separate it from the pack of other ringtone apps.  All these apps have one thing in common.  Steps.  They all require several.  You first create the ringtone on your phone using the app itself.  Then sync it to iTunes then back to your phone.  Where Ringtone Remix steps ahead of the rest is with its ability to sync over Dropbox. 

I found Ringtone Remix Pro incredibly easy to use.  The entire process of creating a ringtone, from editing it, to emailing it, to syncing it took under 10 minutes and worked perfectly.  You can’t ask for much more than that.

Ringtone Pro is fast and easy and allows pinch to zoom for precision. I’ve done a fair bit of audio editing in my time and was comfortable with using the interface. You can pop into your iTunes library, grab your favourite non-DRM’d song and find a section to loop. Couldn’t be easier right? Well the Ringtone Pro folks have simplified it even further by adding a Magic button that analyses the audio file, finds a loopable section and automatically highlights it for you. You can then fiddle with it a tiny bit to get the syncing just right. I created a ringtone from Anamanaguchi’s Jetpack Blues and Sunset Hues in seconds.
