Back-To-School App? GoodReader for iPad!

From The iPad FanIt’s back-to-school time around the country and as students head off to classes I started thinking about what one app I’d have to recommend the most. I thought about iTunes U, and Dropbox, but in the end, I decided that out of everything I’ve used to make the iPad as useful as possible, GoodReader is my top choice.

BugMe! Stickies Pro Review

From Android RundownBugMe! took me back to a less cluttered time… the UI was great. It invoked stickies (obviously) and corkboard. The program allowed me to create stickies by writing on squared yellow “paper” and to populate these newly created stickies on my device home page.
The ease of entry is where I think BugMe shines. I could enter data with the installed keyboard, but also had the option of writing with my finger. Now for me, this is huge; it put back the “impromptu” into impromptu note taking.

Boat Beacon featured in Boats.com

"If you only need the AIS basics and you boat in waters close to populated areas, you can even access AIS by smartphone. One new app, called Boat Beacon, brings the data up right on your phone. The app provides collision detection out to 60 miles, CPA calculations, basic GPS data, and MMSI numbers so you can hail nearby vessels directly. Boat Beacon is available for iPhones only, and it goes for $9.99 on the iTunes store."

Review: BugMe! Stickies Pro for iPhone and iPad

From Radiant ReviewsThere are many different colored post it notes that you can choose from.  You can also choose to take your own picture and use that as your note background which is pretty cool.  You can also assign a particular note a due date, so it will remind you and the note will appear letting you know that your appointment is coming up.  It works via push notifications, and it works extremely well.  I have been very pleased with its overall functionality.
